Aftermarket clutches will publish their torque ratings. As long as it's more than your car is putting out, you should be fine. No sense getting an on/off switch if you don't really need the extra gripping power, or spend extra money when you don't need to... Every manufacturer has had someone that has had problems. Centerforce tends to have more, Spec tends to have less. Proper installation (use of torque wrench) usually means fewer worries.

Best of luck!
