You'd get more from swapping in a stock Magnum head (and exhaust manifold...). Those have been flow tested to outflow the older DOHC heads, even with serious p/p work (the newer non-turbo PT head was marginally better for some reason). HP gains from a stock Magnum head (and cam), along with the intake and exhaust manifolds, plus the 2.25" stock Magnum piping and muffler will get you pretty close to the Magnum's 150 HP rating, which is a good 20+ HP gain. The p/p work to get a regular SOHC head to that level is going to cost 3-4 times what a used Magnum head would...
The stock Magnum springs seem to be more reliable than the Crane offerings, just so you're aware. Tons cheaper too...
The Crane 14 or bigger on stock compression is going to have idle issues. I'd stick with the Crane 12, the stock 2001 Magnum cam, or the ZEX/Comp Cams 400 grind.
