magnaflow exhaust
I have a 05 sxt neon and i am thinking about addaing a exhaust systemto it. The only one i found is from magnaflow. Part number 15801. the pic it has looks like it just comes right off the header. But anyway. My question is does the 05 sxt have a rear sway bar? The Additional Information on the magnaflow page said if i had a rear sway bar the exhaust system would not fit. Can anybody help me out????

My '05 SXT doesn't have a anti-swap bar that I could see and I looked when they had it up on the stand putting that Flowmaster 50 Delta on it. Unless you're going to run a lot of other stuff on the engine you'd be just as well off simply getting a muffler(FlowMaster, Maganaflow, ect.) and replacing your stock one in the standard location. I had mine installed and a killer looking tip for $245 and really, I don't see where a cat back system would have done any better simply because I don't have the engine mods to take advantage of it. At a later date when I can find a Magnum head and I add a header, intake and 60mm TB then I'll add a 2.5" exhaust pipe to help with the extra flow but for now the 2.25" pipe works ok. It's your money, spend it anyway you like.

and I decided to find it ANYWAYS, because I am awesome
Going by this graph, it shows when exhaust sizes become too restricting to N/A power, you can see that 2.25 is MORE than enough for any N/A build.
*EDIT if you were looking for mufflers, you have:
-Borla
-Magnaflow
-Vibrant
-PaceSetter
-2 kinds of Thermal R&D's
You have less of a selection for FULL exhausts with MagnaFlow and Borla.

Well Damn son, that is good news. Guess I can not worry about going 2.5", that'll save me some money for something else. Guess what else I found out, the Carbon/Plastic Intakes on the 2.0L engines are suppose to flow pretty good because of the use of the smooth plastic. Think I'll look into a header, free flow cat and a 60mm TB and keep my plastic intake. Why spend money some something that's not going to help HP. Talk to ya'll later.
