Thinking about getting this. I was wondering:

1. How much HP you guys think I will gain from this?
2. Will I have any problems passing emmisions with the downpipe?

 

not sure about the exact hp gain but i definitly noticed it and you can't pass emmissions because there will be no cat

 

Don't worry about the cat. Just get or make an O2 simulator and enjoy your new found power.

 

you can pass emissions just not the visual check. search obx header and thier is a thread on it and it has info on the lower 02 sensor setup you will have to do if you dont want a check engin light.


as far as emmissions..... find a little hole in the wall shop and make friends with the guy who does the work..... wink wink

i have the same thing and i love it!! i noticed a little gain and the sound of the header is pretty nice! hope this all helps!

 

So let me get this strait, all I need to buy is one $60 sensor and I will still be able to renew my emmissions every year to the DMV? And no there is no visual check. All he does is plug up something to my computer under the steering wheel for a minute at a little smog hut. So I'm cool? And no engine codes huh? This is sounding really good. Those where my only two concerns, and I'm itching for more horses.

dont buy the $60 sensor just use the 2 defoulers and it works great i have had over 3500 mile seince i did it and no code. and you cannot pass visual, you have no cat that is why you need to make friends with the smog guy. or have an extra 40 bucks when you go in. then you can pass the visual. dispite what anyone says without a cat you will never pass the visual check!!!

 

where can I find a place to get an O2 sensor eliminator for an 03-05 neon? I've looked around and the only place i have found anything close would be howell automotive, but its for 99-00 model neons only... would it fit an 05 posibly?

yes, for the 00-02 second gen, not 03-05's. i'll have to check my own vehicle, but im sure that the 03-05 2gen neons dont have round connectors for the O2 sensor plugins.
