hello everyone it has been a few months since i have posted. But since then i have done alot of rutine matinance on my car. Back in november i purchased an 01 neon r/t with 92,000 miles for 4,000 dollars. A week after i got the car i had to get all new four-wheel disc breaks rotors, and pads. Then i broke a timing belt and bent 16-valves had to pay $1,800 for a remachined head and motormounts and all new 16 valves. Now with more than 2,800 dollars in mechanic work i hope it should be reliable for awhile. I also replaced the sparkplug wires and cables and got a k&n filter. I have one question to ask u neon experts and that is if it is normal for the battery to make a lite buzzing noise while the igniton is turned to acc. only. And also i get this squeak noise when i rev the motor and most people say its the intake but mine makes the noise at idle very slightly. Just a few questions and any advice would be thankful. Thank u

 

No you should not hear a buzing from the bat. That sounds like it is grounding out on something that it shouldnt be

 

there is a amplifier cable hooked to the positive side but there is no fuse inside the plastic casing from the wire. Would that be the problem or not. Like i said its only when the igniton is on acc. not when its running or not when its turned back for just radio play. Agian there is no fuse in the amplifier power cable. It runs into a plastic joining piece that is mounted on the firewall and i believe a fuse goes inside witch was takin out when the driver obviously took his stereo system out before selling the car.

 

i was just looking at my car and the battery noise actually sounds like its coming from the airbox. Does anyone know of a slight buzzing coming from the airbox/throttlebody when your car is flipped to acc. not when the car is on just when its turned to acc. . Please get back to me
