Drivers side carpet is wet sometimes....
Okay, I have no idea what is causing this. Sometimes the carpet on the drivers side is wet. And its not caused from my wet shoes. Has anyone had this problem before? The first time it happened I drove through probably about 4-5 inches of water and noticed it the next day. Okay, so I thought it was just from that instance. Wrong....about a week later the floor was wet again after a day it hadn't rained, on top of that it was like 90 degrees out. I'm not sure what is causing it, but I guess I'll have to keep monitoring the situation. Anyone else had a similar problem?

About the water in the back seat and trunk, I had the same problem with my car and it was leaking in from the tail lights. One (relatively) easy way to figure out where a leak is:
1) Remove the carpet in the area that is wet.
2) Make sure the area is completely dry.
3) Sprinkle with baby powder or foot powder.
4) Drive through the car wash or spray with a hose for a while.
After this you should be able to easily trace the source of the leak. If you don't see anything wet, keep spraying water over the car from as many different angles as possible. Keep spraying until you find the leak or nothing leaks and you're tired of spraying, because that probably means it was a one-time thing.
The air conditioning shouldn't really be causing problems, any condensation build-up should be in the engine bay, and shouldn't be able to get into the passenger area of the car.

LowSlow,
I have the exact same problem, it started after I had my Amp and fog lamps installed, the wires are running through the firewall grommet used for the factory wiring harness, it my believe that is allowing enough of a gap so water can get through when it is raining.
If someone has any other ideas or comments please let us know.

You shouldn't really be getting a whole lot of water up on the engine side of the firewall though. The inner fender pieces should be stopping most or all of that. I really don't think you would be getting any significant amount of water in that way. Unless of course the weather stripping under the top edge of the hood is worn out and water is getting underneath the hood there and dripping down the firewall.

Your tail lights... as strange as that sounds, pull out your tail lights and check the rubber seal under them. I've seen many come in with that problem. Water in the trunk, rear seat and one side or the other in the front. The water collects around the tails and drains to the lowest parts inside the car... the front.
Don't know about cars but in my truck the drain tube for the A/C was plugged up by some bug that took up residence, this caused the condensate to end up on the floor instead of outside. When we lived in Texas the mud daubers did the same to my outboard motor water line.
