2nd Gen Turbo Thread *UPDATED*
so im new here but i have a 2005 sxt 2.0. i wanted to know if the SRT turbo manifold and turbo kit would work on my car. any help or suggestions you can email me at tylerroark@yahoo.com. anything is greatly appreciated
I am new to this forum, but if I woukd get the hahn turbo kit would be getting je forged pistons and eagle h beam rods be what I need to start going above the safe limit of 8 psi. What all would need to be forged to handle effectivley. And would 8:8:1 be the best compression
For forced induction, it is generally best to stay under 10:1. The SRT-4 is 8.1:1. A 2003/2004 Mustang Cobra is 8.4:1. A 4.6L SOHC Mustang is 9.4:1, but they handle boost just fine up until about 450 or so crank HP, which is when the rods will go. Seems to be the trend on the newer ones too. You want to make sure nothing is "powdered" or cast metal. Those tend to be the weakest types of metal parts in engines.
