Are all the computers for the 2nd gens interchangable. Say my car is a 00 mtx and i get a 01 mtx ecu, will that work or does it have to be the same year? thanks.

 

As far as i know you cant interchange the 2000 with an 01-02 PCM.

from what ive heard a "chip" in a neon will not do any good and may actualy loose performance from it.

 

Correct, no "chips" work for any 2nd Gen Neon, however, the 00-02 people have the AF/x Race PCM's and all Neons have the option of MS.

Sounds good. Its cause im having so many electrical problem. I just put in a new altenator and it seemed to work sometimes, but i still get the battery light on the cluster sometimes. Im going to try to get a new battery today. Somehow my idle is lower sometimes, like if there isnt enough power, so i have a rough idle sometimes.

 

How do you figure this? There are several 03+ people with MS, and tons of 2nd Gen Neon owners with manual transmissions running MS.

So, well the MS work on automatic equiped car or not? What options do we have to up grade the ecu in the cars we all have?!
