just have a question
First......your stock piping is 2.25". Second, stock srt exhaust is not 3" either. Its 2.5" I believe. No, 2.5" would not hurt your backpressure. Your car will be loud or so I'm told if you merely bolt up an srt exhaust because the lack of a muffler.

Stock SRT-4 piping is the same 2.25" size as ours...it just has a resonator in the midpipe and no muffler. It will bolt up just fine, many people hae done it...

if you have a turbo you could attatch a large tube to the end and have it work optimumly. Wow, i didnt think srt's ran off the same tubing. learn something new everyday.

yea hes right because wen i went to get my exhaust done the guy told me to just leave the 'stock' 2.25' piping on and not go bigger because i dont have a turbo and i would lose to much back pressure also because the piping was mandrel bent from the factory and it wasnt worth the money to get the 2.5' piping if it wasnt gonna help. so i just took off the cat and now am putting on a longtube header to replace it all and switched out the dual muffler with a single.
