Is neon lighting in the trunk rice? i dont think it is but i want thoughts

 

everything depends on who you are talking to. personally i have neons by your feet in the front two seats and i would have added more under the front seats so you can see in teh back and possibly an underglow kit, but i have enough electronics already, but on the opinion of rice or not. its all about how well it is done. if you plug your neons into the cigarrette lighter and you can see the bar superglued to something then it is rice. in my opinion is it is cleanly done (everything is hardwired, so you cant see any wires, and the bar is also hidden) then it is not rice, unless it is overdone which again is a matter of opinion

 

Depends on what kind of light. A regular light or weirdly colored LEDs. Many cars have "conventional" trunk lights...

I call it rice when everything is made of carbon fiber... or there is, for some unknown reason, a carbon fiber shift **** randomly surrounding by odd colored LED's that flash with their huge stereo system

 

my plan is to put a plain blue neon light by the stereo speakers in the trunk , not flashing to the beat. but on when the car is on. i plan to do this when i get an amp, sub and speakers.

 

does it matter if its "rice"??? if you wanna do it then do it......i hate the term "rice" if sumone want to do sumthing to their car because they like it, then whats the problem?

 

yo im FOR neons, the thing i hate is when people let the tubes show or even the wiring. i have at least 12 tubes in my ride and 3 switches, which u can barely see. i have under seats, dash, trunk, underkit u name it, check my domain and see. and i agree, if u want to do it, then do it, so wut if its ricey, its all on the eyes of the beholder

 

all i know is if you get your neon lights from walmart and you have lame *** wires running all over and you have a power outlet adapter that you can hook 10 more plugins into.... that is tacky as hell!

 

I use rice very lightly. Rice is a term that is far over used. I use it for cars that run all show, and then think they are better than everyone else cuz of their sticker count[:@]

i also do not care for the word "rice" i agree with freerider and most of the people above. IF YOU WANT TO DO IT. DO IT!!!! guess what you payed for the car and you can do anything you want to the car, if people do not like it tough! it is not there car it is yours!! nomater what you do to any car someone is not going to like it you can not please everyone, it is imposible......so do what you want to the car, just take your time and it will look fine that is all you should worry about is the install, that makes everything look sharp.....
i do not have neons on my car but i am thinking of putting them in my front grill to accent the intercooler but i have to get the turbo done first........:-)
