Default Speaker sizes

Anyway... Right now it's time for a stereo system upgrade. So the question I have, What are the speaker sizes on all the speakers on an 04 neon se?

im pretty sure nothing has changed since 2001.... so 6.5" in the front, and 6"x9" in the back.... and if u want tweeters i think they are 1" tweeters... hope that helps...

Check www.crutchfield.com. I just ordered new front's from them. The site filters out what does not fit in your car.

www.cardomain.com does the samething...just another option and from what I have seen it may be cheaper.

04 SE no tweets factory. Sorry. Why it is bass heavy. Wish mine had them but alas it is just an 04 SE.

Yeah the neon seem to have a good bass even though the speakers are not that great. kinda wierd if you ask me

some one told me that in order for the tweeters to work right i would have to buy a crossover for them is this true?

Are you planning on running the factory tweeter? If so, the tweeter has what looks to be a factory high pass filter on it already. Since the door speakers and your tweeters are on one channel together they are wired for a 4 ohm load. You dont need a crossover. If you are planning on getting after market componenets and want to mount your tweeter in the factory location youll have to use the components crossover......

In short. If you wanna just put in some 6.5's and use your stock tweeters you dont need a crossover.....
