i had a ride in a mitsibitshi evo it had full exhaust headers different intercooler aftermarket parts on the turbo and 2 aftermarket cams and i thought it wasnt that quick. hah we raced an auto 5.7 gt0 and we barely beat him but i dont think we were runnin full psi but it was kinda quick hah but i thought it would be way faster

that sounds about right. mabey a little slower than it should be.

 

was a evo 8 or 9. the 9 are faster . my buddy has a 9 and all he did was basic bolt ons and he is making 350 too the wheels

 

i love the looks of the evo, if dodge would be smart they would build something like that!!!!

 

Those evo's and subaru's are pretty fast with just minor upgrades. My friend is crazy and took his '05 wrx and swapped in a sti 2.5L. He's making 500 whp on 25 psi its crazy. We were riding around and raced a new Stang GT500 and killed it from a stop and from a 40 roll. His turbo is really laggy though because its one of the biggest one's you can buy for the wrx. The gt500 actually was getting us from the start untill his turbo spooled up and then we flew by him.

 

why is this post on this board? I think we all know a Evo would be faster, and many would like to have one, if one had the money...[sm=rolleyes.gif]

 

i wouldnt mind having an evo8 mr.....
i was checking through ebay a while back and found a whole sti drivetrain assembly....axels, motor, trans, wire harnesses, pcm's...basically everything but the body for $3,000.....i was trying to talk my mom into getting it so i could swap it onto her wrx wagon.....but she didnt go for it[:@]

 

well this things motor was all aftermarket but looked like a stock sleeperbut to me id definately take a camaro or gto over it he claimed it was an 11 second car when we barely beat a stock auto 5.7 gto
