Engine Fan
Hi Guys,
Quick question. Having driven for about 4 miles with the cd player on and heat on fulll blast pointing on the front windscreen, when I stopped and got out of the car with the engine idling, the fan in the engine had kicked in - it was obviously on whilst driving. Is this normal? Should the fan be on whilst driving such a short distance? How does the fan work? I thought it kicked in after the engine was really hot, not just after 5 mins/4 miles of driving. After stopping, I continued on a few more miles, and stopped - the fan was not on, so I guess all was ok. Stopped the car, did some shopping, got back in and went home. Fan did not come on or whilst I was putting the car in the garge.
All I really want to know is when the fan comes on, and if it should come on whilst having driven only a few miles
Thanks
