Why when they re-did the neon ( made the 2nd generation ) think that this was the thik to leave the same?

Hey it would not be that bad if they did not make the computer so f*cked up!!! The same block is in other cars (mitsubishi) and makes some nice Numbers........ But our computer suxs AS*!!!!

As to the original post, the reason they kept the engine mostly the same is because it wouldnt have been cost effective to place a totally different engine in the Neon when they were already developing the "World Engine" series of motors for the next generation of DCx vehicles.
