yeah thats what i hate....there are too many brands out there....i like when people list a bunch of good brands like that because most of those brands i dont know or reconize...ive heard of phoenix gold...heard of JL....infinity is nice...theres too much...i just cant afford that component setup i seen in this thread earlier...wow...that was expensive...went to the local flea market and bought some super dome horn tweeters from pyle i think and replaced the tweets in the dash...much much better...but if i were ever to replace the the other speakers..i would definately go with infinity...

one question...ive never used a component speaker setup...what are the benefits?? do they sound better??

Try this:

4 Eclipse component midrange speakers: $200
1 JL Audio 12w3 sub: $115
1 enclosure for 12" sub: $45
1 JL Audio 500-watt 5-channel amp: $380
1 Panasonic head unit w/5-volt pre-outs: $200
Wiring and cables: $60

Total: $1000

Could be a lot worse!
Similar to mine. You cannot go wrong with JL and Eclipse.

Eclipse CD3434 AM/FM/MP3/CD/CD-R/CD-RW
Kicker KX 150x2 amplifier
JL Audio W3v2 12" subwoofer
2 Eclipse SE8243 4" 2-way speakers
2 Eclipse SE8353 5.25" 3-way speakers
2 Eclipse SE8493 6x9" 4-way speakers

oh yes, a million times better. seriously man save up some money and ditch the pyle speakers and buy a nice component set, you won't regret it.

well, i am running 2 ten inch infinity subs....the thing is i spent alot of money getting the sound to say IN the car, if people are next to me at a light and i am listening to music, they can hear it, but not much.....the thing with building an SQ car is that to take it to a sound off, and quilify in the SQ u have to hit a DB of 126..... u can not do that with two more 6x9s, u have to have some kinda sub, my subs are turned down..... i agree about the people that have a "bass" car is kinda stupid, but to each his own..... i like the SQ... u can get a good sounding sterio out of a single ten inch sub, just do not turn the sub up alot, or it will distort everything. good luck!!!!!

Get rid of the pyles of ****. Infinity isn't to great. Like I said Morel, Phoenix Gold, Arc Audio, Eclipse, Memphis, JL and Alpine are good. Those are the companies I would go with and the ones PHsxt said are probally good to. Swap meets aren't the best place to buy stereos. Just because you haven't heard of it means don't dis it unless you see the specs and they suck such as Pyle. Also get rid of the 6x9's in the back because if you have good enough speakers and componets up front, then you don't need them unless you have people in the back all the time. With no speakers in the back death then that allows the sub to come in a little bit louder.

I didnt replace all the speakers just the tweeters and my bad they arent pyles...they are pyramid...but tweeters are all so high its hard to figure if theyre distorting or not...all i know is i can hear the "clap" over my two 12'snow and im happy. i dont have the money for no expensive audio components...if i did i would buy JL...but im putting all my money into my turbo setup...
