decided to install a system in my neon
Aint nuthin wrong with a sound system in your neon. There's removable components inside the cars that allow you to put one in if you wanted to...
its one thing to buy the system and have someone install it. But if you do that, you dont really need the system.
I bought mine. but I decided to use up a weekend putting it in (as good as any dealer if not better) and i felt a sense of relief when I finished. Plus they sound really good.
I chose to buy products from the Dual company.
I got a 580w 2/1 channel amp and two 12" in the trunk. Did it all myself and it looks and sounds great. (it looks great cuz you wouldnt know I had a system unless you either heard it or I told you.)
If you cant wire it up youself, you dont need one.

Q: What is the difference between a 2-way and a 3-way speaker?
A: A 2-way speaker's crossover splits the frequency band into two ranges: bass frequencies go to the woofer, and treble frequencies go to the tweeter. In a 3-way system, the frequency band is divided into three ranges. The middle frequencies are sent to a third driver commonly referred to as the midrange.
Hope that helps.
thanks i will be gettin em lol. but does that mean a three way is better than a two way? (not too educated on sound) they are up for half retail on ebay its a steal lol
A two way is better if you are looking for a better sound and performance, but the 3 gets higher frequencies. So basically if you want a nice sounding system go with the 2 way. The 3 way is more for show and not for the performance you will be expecting out of your Alpine's.
If anyone is interested in Elemental Designs products you can contact alexl@edesignaudio.com. he is a personal contact of mine. i know of a few guys running there products and never heard any bad things
Dual is bad!!!! There products suck, like I've said before I've seen two decks smoke as soon as they were installed. You're better off bying a non-Dual Wal-mart system.
