I know a cap has nothing to do with amp output... but the amount of current flowing through it has a lot to do with how the cap itself performs. You can't just hook up any capacitor and say "oh it will constantly draw and feed power no matter what."That sounds great but it's not that simple in the real world.I've seen plenty of 1, 1.5 and 2-farad capacitors blow because they couldn't handle the constant inrush or sustained current flow that the more powerful ampswould drawon them.

Okay....well you did say my amp is only pushing 1200 watts because my small excuse of a capacitor....let me remind all about my original post where not only did I say I have the small rinky-dink 1.5 farad capacitor...but I also have my Xstatic battcap....I have the largest battcap you can buy...it is a battery/capacitor hybrid...its drycell so it wont leak in your trunk and discharges somewhat faster than a battery and still has enough cranking amps to start the car buy itself. The battcapp is so small you can fit 4 of them perfectly where your stock battery goes (which is what they reccommend) and wire them parallel or in a series or whatever and have 4800 cranking amps!!!! this is ideal for big bumpers or drag cars...either way I KNOW what im doing with my audio and nothing is wrong with audiobahn for the price that they go for...2 to 3 times cheaper than JL and pleases anybody that sits in the car and gets a back rub.

So the speakers in the doors are a true 7"? I thought they were 6.5's... so unless I buy the adapters there's no way I can mount new 6.5's in the doors? Why would Chrysler pick such an odd size of speaker? I don't think I've even heard of 7" door speakersuntil now...

KapitalD: If you like your system, that's great. I also happen to know what I'm doing and what I've done, and I could argue all day on the dynamics of a good sound system and all the electrical intricacies that go into it. I'm just saying, you get what you pay for, and this is usually true with car audio components by far. You can't go out and buy a Rampage deck at Walmart and claim it's 20 times better than a Bose just because it was 1/20th the price. However, if you are happy with your system, then good for you and go enjoy that back rub!

Now for me, maybe I'll just leave the fronts alone in my car and replace the 6x9's in the back...

That would definitely be almost the most expensive door speakers I've ever bought... but looking at those reminded me of a great set of Infinity door speakers that I bought. All 4 cost about the same price and sounded very crisp and consistent.

The back is 6x9 but the fronts were 6.5 or 7. Unless you usually have people in the back seats, you don't need rears. It allows the sub to come in more. Also I don't know how much I can stress this, if you wand soud quality, then buy Morel speakers, there lowest level is better than most things out there.

there are more than morel for good sound quality, we got crystal, image dynamic, rainbow, cdt, dls, phoenix gold elite, memphis Mclass, diamond audio, there are tons and tons. its all personal preference, so i would say get out and try to listen to as many as possible before trying to crown one the best.
