so i have a vibrant front strut bar, i am wondering about the bolts that connect the brackets to the bar, do i tighten those until i cant tighten them anymore, so that the bar cant pivot or is it meant to pivot? i'd like to install it today but im not sure what to do about those bolts...

 

just slap it on bolt it down and tighten, no more than 5 min

 

You know they are tight when you pull on the tower bar and nothing gives.

The car should move with the tower bars

 

gotcha, and do you guys know whay the torque specs are for the 3 nuts that you take off the top of the tower?

 

Technically I think they are 25 ft-lbs. They are tight enough if you just install them and tighten the bolts as best you can. If the strut bar doesnt move when you grab it and pull on it, your good.
