Rented a 2005 Neon on my last trip to Toronto. Coming home I was in a long line at the tunnel in Windsor between two 18 wheelers. I notice the one behind me getting really close, think what the hell is up with this, so I let off the brake, only had so much room in front of me, next thing I know bam, he rear ends me. Once he made contact I was on the brakes, not that I was going to stop the truck. Thankfully he stopped pushing about 1" from the truck in front of me. I was about to bail. Damage you ask? Well I think letting off the brake during the inital impact helped, just a couple scratches and one small nic/scrape (1/2" long) into the plastic.

 

Could have been way worse. That's a blessing.

 

A car is replaceable, you're not.

 

Damn manthat must have got the adrenaline flowing pretty well...glad to hear your alright Lance, and more importantly glad the Neon wasnt hurt too badly .

My grandparents were sideswiped by a semi who lost them in his blind spot, he was speeding so it was his fault.... but he clipped the side of the car....and they spun out in front of him....and for about 1/8 mile he kept ramming them on the driver side between the front and rear wheel....in the process of trying to slow down.....

This was at around 65-70mph.....and they were driving a 1989 Buick Regal coupe..... one of the new body styles at the time......from one side, you couldnt tell a thing....on the other....from wheel well to wheel was totalled body panels, broken glass, and screwed up rims/tires.....

Surprisingly enough, the frame wasnt damaged enough to total it, but the car was totalled due to the amount of repairs needed vs. the bluebook of the actual car.....

Scary sh*t I tell ya....but if that wasnt bad enough......my mom and lil brother watched it all happen as they were following them..

a guy in an old BMW hit me this morning i was driving down a small residential. He came on to the road and hit my back left bumper it was fine but he left a small crack. Its not that noticable so i let him go making sure i got his info down. And he said he was going to pay 50 percent to repaint my bumper. this is twice in a month i hate florida drivers

 

Come on, some of us in florida can drive ok. but not alot of us.

 

I've seen some really bad pictures of cars getting sandwiched between semis
