day 4 (3/12/07) - almost fried stock pcm so i took out the ms and now its running on stock pcm. will try again tomorrow though lol does anyone know where i can get a 12v power source for the megasquirt thats on then the car is on and when it is cranking?
hmmmm ignition...? but then u run the risk of it not starting... or if you draw too much power damaging the starter......... if you are really skilled maybe directly to the alternator?
day 5 (3/13/07) - bad news ...car blew up just kidding but i do have bad news though. still having problems with it and i was going to use the stock iat with it, but it keeps getting messed up so i just ordered the gm sensor that i am supposed to use, so i can't really work on it until then. its ok though because id like to enjoy some of my spring break instead of getting frustrated with my car the whole time. did make some progress today though, im running the power for the ms straight off teh fuel pump relay and that seemed to work good. it can also see the rpms, tps, clt, map, and my wideband. the only problem is the wideband is a tad off becasue its an aem and they suck with ms and also everytime i start the car with teh ms monitering it, it goes fine and then i shut the car off, then i will start it up again and the ms will take a crap and not work. if i reload teh firmware on the ms, it will work again but thats a pain in teh *** to do everytime i have to start the car. at least i will have some time to maybe fix it or figure out whats going on until i get the iat in. o well still didnt give up yet
well its put on a halt right now. i got my iat sensor in, but i have some big exams this weekend that i need to study for (at least pretend to) so homefully i can get a chance to look at it on the weekend of the 31
