ok guys since i am installing megasquirt on my car, i figured id give you my progress with it as days go on.

day one (yesterday 3/9/07)- ms was supposed to go in, but i had a big problem while installing my new fuel pump and injectors so its being pushed back a day

 

What kind of problems did you have with the fuel pump and injectors? Oh, and you better remember how you installed the MS and write some basic instructions or i'll have your *** banned!!! LOL!

 

yea yea yea ill do it i snapped the tube going from the top of the fuel tank to the evap[:-][:-][:-]so i had to drive all around with my moms minivan to find a new one. got it though and its runnin now

 

Damn man thats just bad luck, hope the rest of the install goes smoother then that...

 

well with my luck it wont but we can all pray. i think i;m just not meant to do this lol

 

Day 2 (3/10/07) still didnt install the ms because i was doing other stuff. today i installed my coolant temp sensor, too readings off of the stock iat sensor and got my mounting place for the actual ecu, which i think is very good. heres some pix
coolant sensor: 3/4 barb T with a 3/8 on the top for the clt to screw into. its on the top heater hose located right next to the battery

heres where i mounted the ms. i know it is upside down, but if i had it right side up, there would be the place on teh case where you can screw it to stuff sticking out so i think this is cleaner:

 

Looking good, excellent idea putting the MS unit inside that little cubby!!

 

day 3 (3/11/06) - wired up to just observe what is going on and not run anything yet and now my car wont start i kinda want to cry. i took lots of pix ill get them up when i figure out what is goin on

 

wow that install looks really nice i didnt relize that the unit could go there, that make me soooooooo happy cause it easy access and looks savage. Now i'm jelious, I will probably get ambitious and see if i cant get a fiberglass painted cover or something to go over the top of that still so the screws dont show at all, but none the less it looks good and i'm happy for u man. I've only seen two vids of people with ms and dont worry about it starting, they both had to take some time to get the thing running but it looked like once they did they were pleased.

 

yea luckily i decided to do it while i have spring break so i have all next week to get it goin. i better get it tomorrow or i might cry lol i have a feeling its a power issue, so i might try wiring it straight to the battery just to see if it works then go from there
