Default Check Engine light this morning- UPDATE

Here are the codes:
P0456 Evap Leak Monitor 0.020 Leak Detected A 0.020 leak has been detected in the evaporative sstem

P0517
Battery Temp Sensor Circ Hi

I read how to fix the first code (456): tighten the gas cap and remove negative battery cable/wait 10/replace negative battery cable.
But what about the 517 code??? I just installed a CAI. Is there anything else that I needed to do after installing the CAI? A buddy of mine who owns and tunes a 3000GT VR4 said I might need to reset the ECU, but that's what I thought having the negative battery cable removed during the install was for. Anyone in the know about this?

SPLIT HOSE!??? What should I look for? could it be the hose that i added on between the crankcase vent line and the CAI?

What about the Battery Temp Hi code?

Not yet. It doesn't sputter or surge. I will recheck the work I did when installing the CAI. I have ready that the evap code is common though.

Guess I'll be checking the vacuum lines and the lines in and out of the evap cannister on my lunch.

there's not much to the CAI. It connected to the TB, I plug in the air temp sensor and connect the crank case vent tube tothe CAI.

Lines looked okay from what I could see. They are plastic with rubber elbow connectors. I am going to clear the code and see if it comes back. If they do, I might just take her by the stealership and have them fix it. [sm=headbang.gif]

I checked all the lines that I could get to last night. I made sure that they were all pushed into the rubber elbows. Then I cleared the code this morning and droveto work. I will repost if the CEL comes back with the same code.
