bigger rims problem.
Hey guys,
I know that when you put bigger rims on a car it messes with the speedometer. How would you fix this problem?? Or is there even a way to accurately tell how fast you are going?
Thanks

I think 18s wouldnt be a problem Iknow alot of 1st gen and 2nd gen neons that run with 18s and have no problems with anything . might need to get some spacers but thats it . Im going for 18s no matter what more a show size.
With 18s you'll have a pretty low sidwall. So you will most likely bend your rims pretty easy if you plan on driving it as a daily. It will also be a rough ride most likely. 17s would be the better choice.
I have 18's and it threw of mine like one mph, dealership can fix it but for a big amount. I have 35 series on min I think maybe 45. I have a few dings in my rims by curb check once and rocks. Just make sure you avoid potholes and avoid dirt at all possibilities. Had a stupid show and had a dirt lot and got dinged up. Anymore questions?
