Default Transmission

About 2 weeks ago, while sitting at a stop light, my neon started to shake real bad then stalled. I started it right up, and took off to work. On the way home everything seemed fine till my check engine light came on. I checked the code and it came up P0700, Trans. Control System Malfunction. Can anyone tell me what exactly this is and wheter or not it expensive to fix..................Thnx,

primarily, replacing the "Output" Speed Sensor improved the shifting 1 thru 3 gears, but I don't think it is going into 4th gear! I am having tranny leaking, but topping it off with ATX +4 synthetic! Going to replace the the cooling lines to address the leaks!

ok, changing the input and output speed sensor has resolve most of the error codes, but I still have P0501 and P0700 error codes (one each) after a lot test driving! The only thing I can tell, it is not shifting into 4th or overdrive, OTW it drives fine! Suggestions, please?

Thanks!!! What do you mean? I have not changed any settings and the only thing I have done is read the CEL codes, deleted CEL codes andremoved negative battery lead a couple times! How would/could I set the tranny info to factory specs?

How do you reset "limp-in" mode tranny? I know think it is in 2nd gear!
