RE: For anyone who has changed their shifter on an AT...
I have a manual sxt and havent found any to fit my car....or if i have i overlooked them.....mine (im sure all yalls too) has the little push down and turn mechanism to get the oem shifter off....do we need a aftermarket pushdown and turn ****???? I tried to use my carbon fiber shift **** out of my 300zx..it has 3 of those alan screws to torque it down...i used it for like 3 days because the boot wouldnt fit up around it while shifting...the boot would only fit up around it in neutral...so now im forced to drive with the ugly oemshiftknob .........

yea, tried those... gues there is just not much up on e-bay right now... see alot of the tall skinny metal ones with the button on top (tey amlost look like pencils w/erasers), but don't like them.
The one posted above looks kool as well as yours...
Guess I'll just wait a while...again, how hard was it to replace? ...do you have to pop off the plastic srrounding the base? is that where ther is allen screws?

I tried to put a new one on mine that head the alen screws around the side that snugged up to the shaft. It did not work. Every time I pushed down on the button to change gears instead of push the release, it pushed the handle up. If you can find one that has the one alen screw hole in the front like the stock handle that will work. I found one on ebay once. I went back to look for it later and could not find it.

The white and black is my custom waste basket Ill take a better pic for you of my interior and my chrome and cf gearshift . I outbidded a ton of people for this and I ended up paying like 45 bucks shipped its the coolest gearshifter for an auto Ive ever seen. Nice auto ones are really hard to find now .
