yeah 00-02 are just fine for modding the crap out of the engine and I have to agree with spikey mikey on that its unproven in 03-05 neons as of yet.

Wait, so are you guys saying that 2000-2002's are better built for modifying than the 03-05's?

not better built, its just a fact that you can mod the hell out of the engines in the 00-02 and have no computer problems and sometimes there are problems with the 03+

Hmm...that would probably explain why I don't see any..or rather none so far...people modding any 2005 neons, they seem to stop at the 2004's, is there something really different in the 2005's or is it just some strange coincidence?

The computers on the 00-02 Neons aren't restricted like the 03-up Neons. The computers on the 03-up will hold back potential performance.

Dodge decided that since we got stupid looking headlights, you would get stupid computers.

It's really as simple as that.

well the rumor is, and i say rumor because it was never actually proven to be true, that dodge installed on all 03+ cars the ngc computer that limits power supposibly. it ill force the car to run with stock power by pulling timing ans whatnot. never been proven or disproven though
