I've been hearing a lot of good things about MaxLife, might be a consideration one day....Currently running Quaker State Ultimate Durability 10w30, and she's nice and quiet, just the way I like her lol

What do you guys think about the Castrol GTX High Mileage?
I did some googling and a lot of folks (on bobistheoilguy forum) said that after a couple changes it stopped their oil leaks. I was thinking about changing the 76 and my Ram over to a high mileage oil as they're both leaking somewhere. lol Got a pan leak on the 76 and a rear main on the Ram.

so why not fix the leaks rather than putting stop leak in your engine?

Because it's a stop gap until I can fix it.

Besides, the high mileage stuff supposedly has more cleaners in it....

haha it's better than stop leak to gunk up your motor...

Don't forget...I too have a gasoline truck...

diesel gets amsoil 10w-40, the gasoline gets castrol GTX 10w-30. I fixed its oil leaks.

haven't fixed all of the diesels oil leaks yet, but its leaks are much harder to fix. gotta remove the twins and lift the motor up without the valve cover on to get it high enough to get the oil pan off.

Pennzoil Conventional 10w 30 + Lucas oil stabilizer. I am really not a believer in running anything special unless really high miles, running a built motor, or forced induction.

I am a beliver in keeping whatever you use consistant, and stay ontop of oil changes.
