A stock wheel is only 7 wide... Have to look and see what the minimum rim width for the tire calls for.

The general rule of thumb for max/min tyre/rim widths use to be;
Tyres can be 2" over or under the rim width.

A tyre 2" wider than the rim is going to give better sidewall protection and floatation for off-road (but sloppy handling).

A tyre 2" narrower than the rim will give better stability and handling (but have a vulnerable sidewall).

Running 315 75 16 (yokohama geolander A/T) on a 16x8's.

Equates to a 34.6" x 12.40"

Im not sure about the suspension as I bought her this way.

I have 35's on stock "off road" 17s with a 3" lift(spacers on the coils and blocks in the rear. I am going back down to 285/70-17. Since I have had the truck for about 1.5 yrs now I have had to replace the unit bearings 2 times so far, as well as my milage sucks. I am looking for anything to get(try ) to help out this gas problem.....

Good to know... I loved the 235/75/15 BFG Mud Terrains I had on an '84 Suzuki Sierra SJ413 (Samurai).

If I saw more dirt, I'd have them on my RAM, no questions.
