The motor/trans/and headers should all move as one piece, the headers should not be hitting that tranny as you know. I would look at also getting some stainless flex pipe like below.

Default Dam dog

Haven't even been able to do anything yet and my dog is already costing me more money.

He was chillin in the bed and got stung by something. Comes flying thru my rear window, over the center console (it was up), and right on top of my glove box. Snapped the hinges right off the passenger side panel. Not sure yet but he might of messed up my passenger speaker too. Ughh. Something else to look for at the salvage yard.

I've been casually enjoying the subtle improvement that the Hemifever SCT 87 tune has given me this past week (remember, I'm still on stock intake and exhaust).

Well, today I had to dive through a gap in the traffic to an opposite side lane... it rolled off the mark and accelerated nicely, right up until I slipped it into 2nd (at ~1900rpm) and floored it... she lit-them-up... oh what a feeling (and this aint a Toyota ad).
There's definitely some extra ponies hidden in there now... can't wait to see how it is with a 52mm TB, FI-Airgap, LT headers, and a 3" system... not to mention the higher octane tunes... oh, and H&S1.7's

Thanks Sean.

I ordered new parts for her yesterday!

found a killer deal on 110# valve springs and custom made HD push rods for the ol goat thanks to Weston Shupe

He saved me about $300+ by pointing me in the right direction to get the parts. you would never find them this cheap googling unless you knew EXACTLY what you were looking for as they dont list for any particular car/truck/engine, and they don't specify being 110# springs directly. do the math and know the cummins specs and you will know that they are....

So for example instead of spending $300-400 on springs alone, I spent under $125 shipped on springs. And for push rods I spent about $130 instead of $200-300 for a set.

Hopefully in a couple weeks I can afford to have Weston build my custom 6x.013 injectors

soon as my springs and push rods come in, it will be safe to tighten the gate on my twins to allow higher boost without valve float. then come injectors for more fuel and cleaner running...(I hope)

That's all you need... A gasket is optional.

7 holes are still powerful...

just saw how clean Weston is getting his 6 hole competition injectors, and they tend to do better with high boost pressures, so I thought what the hell...

btw 6x.013 is just slightly more powerful than a 7x.012... (basically a rough guess would be ~220hp injectors)

should be rollin over 400hp without electronics. and with electronics: high 500hp range to low 600hp range.

drove it again today, put 36 bucks of premium in it...somehow i have a misfire after 3k rmps. dunno whats causing it, but im wondering of broken injector clips would cause it?

i have a few of the connectors with broken clips. but i would think it would miss all the time, not just in the upper rmps. 318 did the same damn thing which is one of the reasons i swapped motors. hmmmmmmm
