I painted the step pads on my ram, then went to the grocery store to pick up ribs for the 4th of july dinner.

I installed the new front brake lines today, they fit good and install went smooth no broken lines or leaks. I have done a short drive so far and at this time no big improvement with the lines as far as brake pedal feel goes, I will give it a few more stops before I say better or not.

Its been awhile since I last had the truck on jack stands, today I found out I need a new drivers unit bearing (what else is new). Upon further inspection I found that the pitman arm nut was almost off and yep the arm was sloppy as all heck, broke out the breaker bar and socket and tq'ed the F out of it. Back to monthly inspections no more slacking on my end.

New line installed.

i installed some new speakers in my ramcharger hoping the sound quality might get a bit better but unfortunately was a bit wrong. funny enough the speakers i removed from the door were almost identical to the ones i put back in down to where they were made and wattage ratings. installed the speakers i removed from the ramcharger in my 81 and installed the the new stereo and things are sounding a lot better. now i just have to rebuild my subwoofer box a bit smaller to make room for the amp. then i will eventually have to upgrade my alternator. don't think that 65 amp alternator is going to last long with all these upgrades.

^You only have a 65 in there? Your RC or your Ram?

Forgot to post this earlier. Took the 76 out for a joy ride. Runs so smooth when it's warmed up. Wish I could fix the A/C..

Filled the box with contractor bags of plaster, a big box of lathe, and miscellaneous boards for disposal at the workplace dumpster.

RC would be easy to update, just grab a 136 of a 2nd gen Ram. lol

What about swapping the 90amp alt off your RC?

i could make the alternator work but i think if i was to find a 136 amp alternator i would put it on the 81 since it has all the electronics. i also got a 100amp alternator with all the brackets in the basement that would bolt onto the 81. just have to get a belt long enough for it. i was waiting to try ordering it from rockauto so i can get them cheap.
