T steering (which my truck has the 4th gen version of) the tie rod connects the left and right wheels directly together, and the drag link connects the pitman arm to the far right corner of the tie rod.

crossover steering (wombats truck has this) the drag link connects to the pitman arm and to the right wheel, the tie rod connects the right wheel to the left wheel. the drag link and tie rod do not connect to each other at all...

crossover is the best and strongest, but it requires larger wheels to fit it on a second gen without rubbing. or contacting wheels...

T-steering is the next best thing as the wheels are still directly linked correcting an alignment issue that exists in all Y-steering vehicles.

Got +5" skyjacker springs put on fellow forum member sold me used. Sweet! To get the truck leveled a buddy chopped down my spacers to go with the new springs. There is still about a 2.5 in spacer on there but the new springs will travel further and are also a bit softer which seems very nice so far. Will have to see how it goes with the camper. Pretty stoked now. She's dialed. Off to hit some jumps.

Now to just get those back springs recurved and get those blocks off there!

Today helped my friend pickup a 453T Diesel Detroit and transport it to his shop. He's using it as a generator. And thats when I got to thinking. I wonder how this baby would perform in my 2nd gen Ram? Now were doing research for a 453T swap on my Dodge ram. Found another one for about $1,500 in great condition. Just have to go check it out and find a transmission for it.

I drove mine for the first time in several weeks. Drove great - even when stopped by DPS Trooper on the way to the office. Seems he thought I rolled through a stop sign...I did. Warning only! Whoot!

Been terribly busy lately and not been on here for some time. Busy with work, public policy - implementation of new laws effecting Rape Crisis Centers and rape victims.

Also been heavily involved with social media campaign to help a friend who is fighting ovarian cancer. Lots of heavy stuff going on, but Ram is doing well.

For more info, please go to www.gstockard.wordpress.com and read and sign petition. This friend really needs all the help she can get for compassionate use f experimental drug. It is her only hope.
