Took it through the car wash. There was another car right behind me getting washed while I was still at the end letting the blow dryer do it's thing and it blew a ton of leaves out of my box all over their car. lol

Bought a Dana 60 front, Dana 70 rear and a safety rack for it today for $700. Front needs wheel bearings and rear is complete, they are 3.55 gears though. They are from a 1998 cummins truck. Ill post pics and the BOM numbers tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing this info........I'm in a learning mode. I may be better off getting an intact 4wd truck with the Cummins in it next time ($700 your price) K.

Loaded it up with some basic tools and went and helped a buddy wire up his stereo and replace his power steering pulley. Got it off no problem, but getting it back on with grade 1 or 2 bolts, was not happening. Kept stripping them, so tomorrow at lunch time, going to go pick up some grade 8 bolts and some bigger washers to press it in

Indeed. To-date I have not changed a ujoint on the trail for myself. It's been someone else and it's a pain in the azz. I would end up just leaving b/c it's futile standing there watching it go nowhere. lol

I've never done one on the trail but I did a slick u joint repair on the side of the road.

It is easier when the u joint was just recently put in though

^ If I had the money and time/ability (or capability) this would be one hell of a swap to do for a 2wd...
