+1 color match those pocket flares and you have a winner. Looks much more "finished" with matched flares

Wildman- sharp truck! Although I gotta say, the curved black arch under the doors threw me off at first. I thought...

"how the hell did he bend his frame that bad?!?"

I took the 97 on a long haul today (I do this when traveling through a certain set of mountainous roads). It's running great, getting 11 mpg consistently. However, I'm going to try a 35 gallon tank (30 gallons if I fill with 5 to spare) of 89 octane and see if it improves city mileage. It's not pinging, plugs look good, not using oil. I'm assuming the ethanol content will be the same. In the mean time I'll search for threads on 89 octane/no tunes on a 97 360. K.

I ran 89 for years. However I noticed a difference in fuel economy and performance when I switched to 87. Because of less ethanol content...

aoferrell2, good feedback. So I'm assuming you are running 87 octane consistently. Here's where I'm at with the 97. I run it equal to the diesel, more if I have many errands and stops. I think many folks overlook these 94 to 97 trucks (to me they're dang near bullet proof). I plan to start tracking mileage in it and also intend soon on a gearing change. I intend to run it off road (so I'll need tires by winter).

Thanks for feedback.

Below.............Good feedback, I'll put it to use. K.

I did with the old engine, towing or not. Never had any troubles. My current engine I run 87 in it unless I'm towing which is when I run 89 (unless I expect 100+ temps which then I run 91/93), because I have a lot of extra timing it'll knock when towing unless I run 89.
