I drove the old farm truck to our local used Dodge diesel guy (there is one 20 miles away), looking for a surplus Ranch Hand style bumper. It could be my lucky day, he had a customers 12 valve that wanted to get rid of his and get a stock bumper. I gave the dealer/shop owner my number to give his customer (he had not ordered him a bumper with trim yet)..........Just goes to show ya, timing is everything.

He seemed to have about 4............ 3500's for sell. K.

I actually didn't do what you're about to see, my 3 year old son did. I was using the truck earlier, left the keys in the truck, while in the house he got in the truck, puts the keys in the ignition and got it out of park.............

From what I can tell so far no damage. Waiting on the tow truck. Added a few more pictures to the original post.

Why do you need a tow truck?

Did you see the pictures? Go back a page if you didn't. If you did, because it's only 2wd....

I think the fence kept it from rolling the rest of the way down that hill.

Did your son enjoy his ride? (Do it again daddy! DO IT AGAIN!!)

Hint: Don't leave your keys in the truck any more.

Have you tried to drive it off?

No, he didn't enjoy that ride.

I didn't bother to try and drive it, I can guarantee the rear just would have spun which could have made things worse.

But the truck is free now, no visible damage, still drives straight, brakes are soft, could not get them to get stiff even after pumping several times, just soft.

So gotta bleed 'em....

Definitely no more keys in the truck, sadly this isn't the first time something like this happened, not long after I got the truck I was helping a brother in law move and I had backed the truck up to the trailer, with the trucking running I got out to put the trailer on the ball and my daughter slipped in and put it in drive..... Jeez...

Damn. So glad your son is ok! Could have been so much worse! Glad the truck is ok too!

Worked all day today to get the muffler off my truck to replace it today.. Ended the day with all the tailpipe apart from the truck.. But the muffler does not want to come off. Dislocated my shoulder trying to get a tool off of the wall in the garage.. (apparently just brute force can end badly!) So tomorrow im going to call up my local shop and get a quote to have them take it off before i stupidly damage myself more!

Well, very little harm done at least. (fence post, and some kids toys....) The important parts are still good. (son, and truck)

Have a look and see if the rear brake line didn't take some damage in that trip.
