If the ball joints are that bad shouldn't you be able to tell from the way it drives?
I know you're pissed but who are you pissed at? The guy who sold it to you or yourself for not checking things better? If you had taken a jack with you it would have taken 10 minutes to check. Or you could have taken it to a shop and had a mechanic give it a quick once over. Would have cost you maybe $100.

I can agree with that logic, I can also agree with being pissed at the seller. But it's too late now.

oh trust me, im plenty pissed at myself for not checking it out.

my original plan was to bring a jack, jack stand, and a prybar to check all that. but the guy was having tons of people calling him, so i made a last minute decision to go down the next day, instead of waiting til mid week when my buddy could go with me.

so, yeah its my fault, but its also his, for not being honest with me.

oh well... as stated before, i ordered all 4 xrf ball joints. got them for 198, and some change shipped to my door from canada!

They are supposedly better than Moog...... I have heard mixed reviews, but, mostly good. No direct experience.

theyre a decent ball joint. like heyyou said, theyre better than moog, and carry a lifetime warranty!

they also make steering components, and as hey you has said they have mixed reviews.

the poor reviews come from the diesel world, where they run stupid huge tires, on rims that stick out 3 or 4 feet.

other than that, its nothing but good about them!

they have recently released a new design, which are supposed to have better internals, with ball bearings and such.

ill have mine friday, so if you want, ill snap some pics.

Please do! I've got a note reminding me to look into XRF components should I happen to need any.

Course, they'd be parts for my stout second gen rather than some weak and wimpy third, but good engineering is good engineering.
