I've converted my 1997 to 1998 and up style side view mirrors. I've figured out the wiring. I can post it later if you like.

The mirrors I installed on my truck have heated mirrors as well, 1997s didn't come with them, but I plan on wiring them in on a separate circuit. Already ran wires to make that work.

keeping my 97 original and already fixed the flags BUT you should post up the wiring color code position for the 98 up mirrors in case someone else wants to do the swap out

installed the precision fit seat cover to the middle seat today, pretty nice fit but it still needs to relax a bit from being folded up in the box for the last 2 months

Had 3.92 gears and Detroit TrueTrac installed. Tech programmed the transmission computer for the new gears and the tire size I'm running. Speedometer is correct now.

Got the redhead box in and a new steering pump. Only took about 100 lbs on my harbor freight puller to pop the pitman off the original box. Must have been cause I've hit it with penetrating oil periodically the last few years.

Yeah, my truck is not one to be kept original...

So I'll put this in another thread later...

So on the driver side door has 3 wires, Red Green, and Blue. The replacement 1998+ style mirrors I bought have 5 wires, the extra 2 wires are for the headed mirrors. The Red wire from the door needs to go with the Blue wire from the mirror. The Green wire from the door, goes with the Yellow wire from the window. The Blue wire from the door goes to the White wire from the window. The remaining 2 black wires go to the heated mirrors.

On the passenger side door, the door has 3 wires, Purple, Red, and Green. The Purple wire from the door goes with the Yellow wire from the mirror. The Red wire from the door goes with the Blue wire from the mirror. Lastly, the Green wire from the door goes with the White wire from the mirror. The remaining 2 black wires are for the heated mirrors.

Installed new locks and billet handles from All Sales. Had a lot of trouble with the passenger side but it finally fit. Also installed new weather stripping on the drivers side. Changed oil and greased. Next will be another clutch.
