This is my first time using this forum, and actually this is my first forum all together. I bought my first ram back in January, it's a 1994 ram 1500 5.2L single cab with 86K on it. I'm currently attempting to tighten up the passenger mirror, it's been getting to be a pain in the butt having to use a window scraper to push it back out while on the highway to see if I can get over.

Yeah I "fixed" it last night. I tried adjusting everything I could but it was still loose. I ended up undoing a hose clamp I had in my box of random crap and jamming it down in the space between the plastic washer and the mirror. It didn't turn in this morning while I was driving so I think I'm good. This weekend I'm gonna do the oil pan gasket and diff cover, hopefully knocking off a few things off of my laundry list of things I gotta do to it

Out road trippin' and met a guy working on his recently purchased '99 Ram, with his parts truck with a blown transmission parked next to it. FINALLY! I scored the speed nut and bolt that were missing from my fan shroud. There was a screw and nut there when I bought the truck and it's been making me mildly crazy having incorrect hardware.

Installed the FF dynamics extreme cooling electric fan setup yesterday. Sends to work well on test drive. Well see how it handles the hot Texas Summer.

10 years ago when I had my ram sport I posted a "how to " repair these flag style mirrors and a " how to " to convert to 98 up mirrors on the 94-97 rams on ramforumz before I had a run in with their half assed moderators..

it may still be there since no one else had come up with a permanent fix at that time for the flags and also no one had taken the time to figure out the wiring on the 98 up.. I showed how to unpin the wires from factory plugs and how to reinstall in proper sequence so the mirrors worked correctly.

it may still be over there if you do a search..

RamSportRocks,
I've converted my 1997 to 1998 and up style side view mirrors. I've figured out the wiring. I can post it later if you like.

The mirrors I installed on my truck have heated mirrors as well, 1997s didn't come with them, but I plan on wiring them in on a separate circuit. Already ran wires to make that work.
