Yep, agreed. I'm going ahead and replacing the cam position sensor and the crank shaft position sensor with factory Mopar replacements, just to be safe. 15 years and 300,000 miles on the originals so it's probably time.

I'm probably going to get burned at the stake for this but I decided to help out a charity that donates to a local children's hospital and allows us to have some fun. Decided to put my ram through the local "redneck rave". Cost $30 to get in and you have a 25 acre area to do what you want. The old ram did good.

Mud is like that. You will be finding it in the oddest places for the next month.

New belt. Hopefully this one stays quiet I've heard good things about them. It's a Goodyear gator back or I guess they got bought out so now it's continental elite. Here it is next to a the stock style.

I like the gator belts. I used one for about 70 k then Replaced it with another only because I had things apart and it was off. Now it's my behind the seat spare. It never made any noise on the motor and still hasn't made any sitting behind me.

Ordered up the 98-99HD Steering parts from rockauto. Finally going to tackle the steering this year after ten years of it sloppy. I've learned to live with it but I was shocked when my Dad drove it this summer and he was all over the road. Thought we were gonna crash. I'm sure much of the issue is the gear but I figured I'd start with new tie rods and align it to see what if any improvement this does. Then add a Redhead to a nice straight front.
