Tried to use 4x4 today.... Holy smokes, that sounds HORRID..... Went looking for another t-case.. NV241DHD.... Nothing within 500 miles on the used market.... ebay had one starting at 500.00, but, from a 2002...... Could get a rebuilt one for a grand..... Not happenin'..... Found a complete rebuild kit for 536.00.... that ain't happenin' either.... Found a kit without the chain for about 180.00... not sure on the quality there, but, I am quite sure I need the chain as well. Don't wanna just drop it, and see what it looks like, as it is the only vehicle I have to drive...... And of course, we are in single digit temps for the next several days anyway.... Doesn't make any noise in 4x2.... so, just live with it for now I guess.

Just dropped 400 bucks on furnace repair today...... so, money is a bit tight.

That does not sound fun... Hope you can find another transfer case for a reasonable price.

In my case, my driver side rocker panel and quarter panel just rusted through. I just noticed a bubble in the paint the other day on the cab corner, I touched my finger to it and it went right through the sheet metal. Planning on replacing those panels soon. Not looking forward to that repair. Other than cab corners and rocker panels, every other piece of metal on the truck appears to be in good shape...

Did the heater core, AC evaporator, the dash and bezel over a 3-day weekend. I was really surprised by the fit and finish of the LMC dash. There were only 2 screw holes that did not line up perfectly, and if I had smaller hands and longer arms, I could have got 1 of those 2 to line up. The color wasn't an exact match to the remaining parts, but it's a work truck, so no complaints.

Took the defrost vents out (4 screws) and screwed them to the new dash before installing it. Made life much easier. The screws holding the vents to the underside of the dash are nearly inaccessible unless the windshield comes out.

I love the 'bucket o' dash'. That's classic.

Sad to say, but that's pretty much the way it came out. In fragments no bigger than a square foot. Out of all the work I've done on the truck, the dash and heater core had to be the most rage inducing.

Hit the key this morning to a "click".
Luckily the wife didn't need the Dart today, so took it to work.
Got home and checked the terminals where clean and tight, but still nothing.
Have 12.0V sitting there, but Ign 'on' it drops to 9.6V... no wonder it wont crank.
So off to get a new battery... picked up another Optima RED... the one in there lasted close to 4yrs... the new one was actually $27 cheaper than the last.

^I wouldn't have bought another one. 4 years is very unimpressive.
