i was just thinking that the online FSM only covers the 2001 model and i have a 2000.

then there are guys with pre-obdII 95 models, hybrid obdII 96 models and then the 97s are close to the same as the 96. and those guys could use a factory book that covers their older trucks.

and yeah, i wouldn't mind having a paper copy of a 2000 service manual.

how did your dad come across all of those? it looks like you robbed a dealership.

There was an auction at a chrysler dealership that had closed.

I calculate my miles to go based on 14MPG and had two gallons left on my last fill up.
that system doesnt work at all unless you completly drive till its out of gas and then put a certain amount in and drive till it stalls again. The tanks will take a couple extra gallons than rated for. When the guages do work, they are just a general refererance and in many cases are totally inaccurate especially when close to full....

Some were $40 for the year and some were $20, and then a couple were $5 (92-93s)

Unless I'm missing something here, how does that not work?

I have 145,000 miles on my truck when I fill my tank completely. I go on a trip that is, say, 250 miles away. I fill up when I get there, and my odometer reads 145,250. The tank tanks another 18 gallons.

145,250 - 145,000 = 250.

250 / 18 gal. = 13.88 MPG.

Isn't that what he meant?

The OBD II was introduced in 1996. So it should work for anything after 1996. OBD I is Pre-1995. Not sure about the Star Mobile.
