what are they rubbing?
my 285 70 17s rubbed the back of the fender well if i hit a bump in a full lock turn.
i installed the HBS 2.5" coil spacer and now they don't.
i think the treadwright 285 70 17s are actually a little taller than a new tire in the same size because when i first got my truck it had bfg a/t in that size and they didn't rub at all. and if you think about it, how thick is the rubber under the new tread compared to when the tread was part of the original tire.
i know that style has a pretty good bite to it, its not a mud tire but it'll hold its own.

i got everything in the engine put back together aside from the fan/shroud/belt and adding coolant. i think i'll be able to start it up tomorrow, yay.
i only ran into one issue while doing the plenum, i broke one of the little red locks on a fuel injector plug, so i'm going to have to zip tie it i guess.
and as far as cmckenna warning about the rusty front and rear bolts, i only had one give me a little bit of a fuss (luckily). i sprayed all of them with CRC Knock'er Loose a couple minutes before and the one that gave me a fuss wasn't really that bad.
when i got it backed off about 1/4" i felt it starting to bind up and i didn't want to snap it so i sprayed the knock'er loose on the threads and ran it back down, then up until it started to bind, then down... after about 5 times going up and down it came out as if it were a brand new bolt.
