I thought about a hida key. There was a segment on Powerblock for the wingnut and bolt trick. I've had the magnet types fall off before so that seems like the way to go. As for the slider latch, the one on the truck is easy but the glass on the cap is damn near impossible. Plus over the winter I used RTV to seal the surrounding glass from leaking into the bed. Didn't think I'd ever need to open it.

Staying true to this thread--- I watched the Gas light come on for the first time. I wonder how many miles it takes from then to empty. Maybe I'll fill the 5gal and find out....

well i took it to a shop to have the trans checked out, and it turns out that the guys snap on modis scan tool says theres no communication between it and the pcm, which is weird, because i sat there and changed my truck back to stock settings with the 3815 in front of him, checked all the fuses, and they were all good. so idk...

might just have to have the gov. press. sensor, and solenoid replaced.

oh well...

anyways, i did pull our 18' wellcraft bow rider out to the river to take her for a spin, just got her saturday, got a few kinks to work out, but she runs great, might need a new water pump though...

 

drove it around....still slightly amazed it made it past 100,000 miles, it was a farm truck before i bought it...been run hard and still rips when the pedal is lowered to the floor

 

Droped the fuel tank and changed the fuel pump. what a bitch...

 

did an oil change....took cmckennas advice and im trying valvoline syn blend....lets see how she does...(oil psi is a bit lower)

 

Valvoline High Mileage 10w30 Syn blend is what I've been using. Yeah the oil psi is a bit lower. But after 3000 the oil comes out looking almost new.

 

you dont want the oil to come out clean...you want it black, that means its doing its job...

 

Yeah, I've heard that somewhere before. It comes out DARK brown, but I pulled the valve covers and IT IS CLEAN! Like brand new, so somethings working.

But today I recieved my winnings of 10k, sitting in the driveway trying to think of a good bugdet mod to SPICE things up a bit....Maybe some Hydros Homie! LOL
