What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
yes it was rebuilt 25K ago....and i just changed the fluid/filter 2K ago....well i dont trust the machine...i want to drop the pan, and look at it myself....im going to fill/drain 3 times...just bought $120 worth of tranny fluid.....hopefully this will flush it out....
just an FYI for those who didnt know...theres a vent on the top of the transmission, and if you go off-roading this can take on water....which is what happened in my case, for i havent had a tranny leak at all, and fluid was perfect before i hit the trails yesterday....so the only place i could have taken water is that vent....so watch out for those of you who off-road.
A good trick folks I know use, is to attach a hose to that vent, and run it up high somewhere, with the neat little filter on the end. We tend to have some deep water crossings around here this time of year.....
Installed my Altezza tailights. And decided where to remount my driving lights so I don't have to hack my"gills" up.
Descovered another license plate light harness burnt up. Bad design on Dodges part.

Designed and built a new rear bumper from 1/8" safety plate, incorporated two 55watt lights tied into backup light circuit and coated the whole thing with Truck bed coating. Got it bolted on and wired up this afternoon, and it looks great.
Truck starts very quickly with box and driving around town seems to have a little more pop. Where I really noticed the difference was pulling my gooseneck (38' Tri-Axle). Makes the trailer seem a little lighter. I also notice a difference in the gas gauge but I haven't checked the actual mileage yet. Hope that helps.
Nice bumper...I need something like that!
