That's funny because my dad has a 98 4x2 5.9l quad cab, my sister has a 99 4x4 5.9l quad cab and I have a 00 5.2l 4x4 quad cab. One of my best friends that I've known for 10+ years has an 08 4x4 5.7l Hemi quad cab too.
The funny part is that I got the first Ram and everyone else copied me.
Mine needs renewed and inspected before the end of the month. I had to have my dog put to sleep wed night due to liver cancer. Now I'm tight on funds till after the first. This should get interesting
Sorry about your dog. Don't wait long for another. Too many good dogs need great homes. As far as stretching a budget I hear my pennys squealing from all the pinching around here.
As far as the truck I filled the bed with snow for some weight.
I took to removing the metal lugs that block the rear brake star wheel adjusters. after a few taps with a 3 pound sledge and a punch I was afraid of distorting the backing plate so I drilled three small holes in each to remove most of the material and carefully filed the rest away. ended up with some very clean openings, then installed some rubber plugs that came with the hardware kit. I also cleaned and lubed the adjusters. I noticed the neversieze I used last time was hard as a rock and had no lubricating properties left so I used a little high temp bearing grease this time...we'll see.

LOL
With ours there is a 3 year gap between my dads Ram and my sisters.
Sad thing with our trucks is that out of the 4, only one has a dash intact, and thats my sisters 97.
Gonna go out to the grandparents today and freeze my *** off.
I replaced the license plate lamps and repair the sockets. They were totally broken off so I used some Qbond powder and glue to reassemble the sockets. All works well now.
Well, gonna try to see how my clothes hanger fits in the headliner in my truck, my mom broke it off yesterday trying to get in the truck....she found out that its NOT a grab handle.
