Default overhead lights

I was cold and shaking and pull down the overhead lights while trying to open the garage door. The two clips broke. So I pull out the remaining screws and the broken clips. I used some Q-bond and glue the clips back on with the bonding powder. I will install it today and hopefully it will hold.

Drove it over 780 miles today! Well my fiance and I did. It's back in Michigan and glad to be out of the weather. Coldest temperature in the past 2 weeks? 4*F. It hated it's life starting then.

Default Underhood light mod

Got tired of lifting the hood and not having the little light come on. I've never looked into the problem, so today was the day. First, I noticed that the bulb was blown.....figures. What a weird bulb. I have no idea who would stock something like that, but I can assume that Wally World will not. I didn't want to special order anything and start swearing at the thought of a $20 specialty bulb, so a mod was in order. I cleaned all the contacts, cleaned the bullet-shaped ball contact, then checked everything with the continuity meter. When all was said and done, I then soldered some LED strip lights onto the contacts and put everything back together. Everything works just like it should, and looks like a fairly clean install. I had the strips lying around from a previous mod to our RV (stepper door lighting). Got them off Ebay for $2 each, and that included shipping from China. I bought a handfull of them! I've got 2 strips left, and they'll be used for under-dash and rear passenger-foot lighting in my 1966 Mustang Conv. Tired of not being able to see **** when driving that car. Anyhoo, here's a couple of pics.......

Scraped some snow off it today to take a picture for the ram picture game, only to be beaten.
Oh well.
