What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
My Ram was a good boy today
) while geting bored my budy call me with his Ram rough idle and exhaust random pops with heavy fuel smell lost power and hard starting with out any light.
After test drive and listening the exhaust out i can say engine is randomly misfiring with out any service engine light!!
IN and Out checked all connectors and check fuel pressure and vacuum gauge fuel pressure was jumps 25 to 60 psi figure out posible list 2 dead injectors but no code?
While start to hook up scan tool figure out he is after market 30 bucks performance chip hooked up some wires from ecm plug, and big moment soon as i disconnected it engine light pops up several times with 3th and 5th cylinder misfires. This is a 2002 Ram1500 with 4.7L
Run the shop get 2 injector with make sure get 16 o rings for complete fuel rail!!!
And he sad he didnt have tune up little while *8 copper plug( Dont waste time with any other plugs champ copper is the right one)only
Removed all coils discoonect fueline (make sure discharge pressure on rail before disconnecting) and removed all fuel rail replaced dead injectors but clean all of them with electronic part cleaner and replaced all o rings ! 16 (Make sure you DO THIS)
new plugs and torque everyhting back to places come out nice fuel pressure steady at 52psi new plugs discharge air intake oil change and run like a RAM again
)
so was a good day for a one ram.

i replaced all the spark plugs in my ram charger. i 100% understand why everyone hates those damn spark plug heats shields. i ended up having to pay someone $20 to take number 3 out and i managed to get the rest out with almost no effort. it was actually funny i stuck the broken spark plug back together to get to the shop and there didn't seem to be a single misfire or tic from it not getting spark.
Drilled the holes in my bed for my C/B antenna mount. Trimmed the backing plate to fit inside the the tailgate mount where the antenna will be mounted.
Disassembled said ball mount and painted the nessesary pieces black.

I replaced my caster bolts and bushings and then had it aligned! Drives really nice down the road nice and smooth. Steering is ok I assume as good as it gets with the stock box.
Yesterday I painted my other two wheels black, and today my Hell Bent Steel 2" lift spacers arrived (I ordered them on wednesday with free shipping!), so of course those went on. I had to disconnect the sway bar to do it, and I'm gonna drive without it for a while to see how I like it.

Rear tire in picture needs air every day or two, so it's low, plus the parking space slants downhill toward the curb, so it makes it look nose high, but it sits nice now.
Also I noticed that i'm leaking oil out the back of the motor again... Ugh. Apparently I need to pull the intake... for the third time. I doubt it's the valve covers.
