its true. No cat, no EGR (they didn't start those till the 6.7L cummins in 2007.5) no smog pump or any crap like that.
Diesels are held to different emissions standards than gasolines. they don't emit the same things.
even running straight pipe (no muffler) and a boost elbow and boost fooler, while still mostly stock, my truck blew 2% opacity in emissions check. anything 40% and under opacity is a pass. VP44 motors with stock tuning run super clean. but look how detuned they are stock... 235hp (flywheel) in dodge configuration stock. RV configuration of the same exact motor is 275hp (flywheel) and marine version of same motor is 300hp (flywheel)
mine with stock tuning now along with the rest of my mods but fueling/timing control box turned off is 372hp, with performance tuning added up to 550hp by modifying the fueling and injector timing curves, and injector duration.

Thats some BS man... Its snowing south of me and north of me.. And here I am just stuck in the middle with 20 degree weather....

No snow here on Long Island yet and none last year to speak of. It's a bit discouraging as I do make a pretty good buck when it snows. Mother Nature can be a real wench sometimes.
