i am also jealous.

i was thinking about not going to work after i saw a plow truck parked on the side of the road about 1/2km from their yard but not going to work mean't less money on my already small pay check so i just kept on rolling. it was not so bad once i hit the hi way which was 5 lanes wide but the 2-3 lane area's like in town were pretty scary.

Quote: Altering cam timing moves the power band around. Some cams are ground with advance/retard already included... so, watch what ya get for a cam, and use the manufacturers recommendations on timing.
Since I'm not going to be camming it, does that mean I can advance the timing 3*?

I've read it gives more low end grunt without much sacrifice on the top end...

Not like these engines have much top end anyway.... Talk to the cam manufacturer, if they already have some built in, you don't want to over-do it. Let 'em know what you have in mind, and they can make a more informed suggestion than I can.

Sold my 1/2 ton back to the PO...lol. But it developed a intake gasket leak on the way to deliver it. Since hes a buddy and he gave me good money for it I am going to help him make the repairs needed, intake gasket, thermostat, exhaust, and stereo.

Ohh and I drove my 3/4 ton to work today. I keep telling myself to not sink anymore money into it cause I really want a deisel 4x4, but everytime I drive it I get a smile and decide to keep it and still get a 4x4. So tomorrow I will be dropping it off at the exhaust shop to have the rest on my exhaust welded on.

Made a serious start to setting up shop in garage. Filled the bed of Ram with bags of trash (packing and other crap) from the move, and filled the Yota bed with flattend corrogated cardboard to drop off at recycling drop tomorrow. Both trucks need a wash - last two weeks it has been raining every couple of days/
