With the Flashpaq I get WOT ping when I try 91 tune/87 fuel. Plenum's fine but the 100k maintenance is just about due, so I'll try again after I get that done. I'm also upgrading the ignition with the tune-up to make more voltage so I can run a wider gap for low end/high altitude, so my results might not mean much.

Time will tell.

alright, in true newb fashion, i'd like to ask a few questions that probably have simple answers.

My truck's mfg date is 11/97. will it work with my truck? secondly, does anyone actually have a picture of the handheld unit?

Mine's two months older, out of Saltillo. It'll work.

Got it yesterday , boy I am itching to put it in , But . its going to shop monday to get rear end done (ouch) Thought about switching to synthetic tranny fluid,
so will wait till next week.

UPDATE: put the tune on it today, installed the 89 tune,, subtle diff.. shifts better, feels maybe a little more peppy. No ping.
Fuel mpg same as without.11.5 , will try other tune soon.

Update 2:
made our trip Towed the load NP. but the 91 tune gave us pretty bad pinging. used the 89 tune. ran good. but still got this ticking noise..

mine too but when i shift from 4 th to 5th (when towing) its slow to get off of 2000 rpms. Will a tuner help that? What mod will ? Running a stock motor now....
