lol. i think you need to aim higher than 14mpg. my dads ford got 20.2mpg last time i topped it up. i bet if someone like WR or Jig was driving gas mileage may get better. i know i do my fair share of stalling when driving the thing but with 3.07 gears it makes it a bit difficult not to.

 

Best I've ever seen on the interstate was 16.5mpg, and that was with a clogged cat.

I'd be happy to get that mileage again.

lil chebby has a straight body, great paint, runs great, and no rust at all minus the tailgate and rear bumper that got dented in a bit from when the 4th gen ram rear ended it and pushed it into the ditch in an intentional hit-n-run...

if anything I'll drop a 4bt cummins in it

I can do 70mph + in 2nd gear without redlining, haven't tried reverse.....

 

with an auto it is not so hard. usually by 55km/h my dad has the truck spun around.

 

The real question is why would you drive that fast in reverse?
